Apache Variscite turquoise pendant with mixed metal flower

$250.00

I’ve held onto this piece of Variscite for quite some time, as it’s not a material that comes around on my jewelry bench very often.

Mined in the Toiyabe Range near Austin, Nevada. Known for its spiderwebbing, it is prized by jewelers and collectors for its high silica content and durability. The Apache deposit is a small family-operated mine just outside Austin, Nevada. Unlike softer variscites from other regions, the silica-rich Apache variscite reaches a Mohs hardness of 6.0 to 6.5, giving it a beautiful glow and making it highly suitable for everyday jewelry.

This entire piece is crafted from sterling silver, with the tiny flower blossom crafted in copper. The chain length for this necklace is approximately 20 inches for those who enjoy a little longer of a chain.

Your order will arrive to you with a polishing cloth for easy cleaning and upkeep.
